The Shaker platform was born from La Coctelera, a successful and active Spanish blogging community designed and developed by The Cocktail.
The Shaker Platform Architecture
- Ruby 1.8 or higher

- Apache, Mongrels, Lighttpd, Nginx
- Unix/Linux Platform
- MySQL, Postgress or Oracle databases
- XHTML and CSS for templating (ERB or Liquid)
